Plans directed by the Spirit

Then David gave to his son Solomon the plan for the porch of the temple, its buildings, its treasuries, its upper chambers, its inner rooms, and for the place for the [ark and its] mercy seat;  and the plan of all that he had in [e]mind, for the courts of the house of the Lord, and for all the surrounding rooms, for the storerooms of the house of God and for the storerooms for the dedicated gifts and offerings. – 1 Chronicles 28:11-12

King David gives Solomon all the plans that the Spirit had put in his mind for building the temple.  Following are other biblical instructions of the significance of planning —

The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
The thoughts and plans of His heart through all generations.             Psalm 33:11

Many plans are in a man’s mind,
But it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand (be carried out).               Proverbs 19:21

A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life],
But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them.                                    Proverbs 16:9

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says theLord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope. – Jeremiah 29:11
