Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead), behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will take hold of me. – Psalm 139:7-10
Our God of wonder is everywhere always. And, wonder of wonders, He not only knows the number of hairs on your head, there is nowhere you can go from His Spirit. You are on His mind even now. – The Jesus Code by O. S. Hawkins
“Am I a God who is at hand,” says the Lord,
“And not a God far away?”
“Can anyone hide himself in secret places
So that I cannot see him?” says the Lord.
“Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord. – Jeremiah 23:23-24
But Jonah ran away to Tarshish to escape from the presence of the Lord [and his duty as His prophet]. He went down to [a]Joppa and found a ship going to [b]Tarshish [the most remote of the Phoenician trading cities]. So he paid the fare and went down into the ship to go with them to Tarshish away from the presence of the Lord. Then the men became extremely frightened and said to him, “How could you do this?” For the men knew that he was running from the presence of the Lord, [a]because he had told them. – Jonah 1:3,10
Then Peter said to her, “How could you two have agreed together to put the Spirit of the Lord to the test? Look! The feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.” – Acts 5:9
There is no place available to me where I can hide from Him – even when every fiber of my being wishes that there was. God is now here – and that is a game changer. No matter what it is that you believe; God is now here is the spiritual truth under which you act. And He will do one of two things in your life – He will sit quietly in the background and simply watch you live, or He will actively come and help you be all that you can – and want – to be. – Gary Mullen
