Rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit

Shout for joy, O Daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O Israel!
Rejoice, be in high spirits and glory with all your heart,
O Daughter of Jerusalem [in that day]! – Zephaniah 3:14

Zephaniah’s words here reveal us about God’s character. He tells Israel that God is mighty and He will save. He is present among them and their shouts of joy please Him. God delights in the praises of His people! May the Lord enable us to praise and worship Him in Spirit and truth!

You are God: we praise you;
You are the Lord; we acclaim you;
You are the eternal Father:
All creation worships you.
To you all angels, all the powers of heaven,
Cherubim and Seraphim, sing in endless praise:
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory.
The glorious company of apostles praise you.
The noble fellowship of prophets praise you.
The white-robed army of martyrs praise you.
Throughout the world the holy Church acclaims you;
Father, of majesty unbounded,
your true and only Son, worthy of all worship,
and the Holy Spirit, advocate and guide.

Go forth into the world in peace; be of good courage; hold fast that which is good; give to no one evil for evil; strengthen the fainthearted; support the weak; help the afflicted; honour all people; love and serve the Lord, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit; and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you and stay with you always. Amen.

I pray that today we are able to walk in the fullness of life He’s provided for us.
The fullness of JOY!  He has given us life so that we can live it abundantly!

Keep me faithful, Lord God, I pray! Give me the clarity of thought to be able to understand as much of these challenging Scriptures as my mind and Your Spirit can enable me to grasp. I rejoice in the promise of Your first coming when You opened a fountain for cleansing from sin. I also rejoice in the promise that reveals that You are coming again to rule and reign. In the Name of Jesus I approach You with “HOLINESS TO THE LORD!!!” Amen!!! – David Mainse

Spiritual blessings

So the Israelites did all the work according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses.  And Moses [carefully] inspected all the work, and behold, they had done it; just as the Lord had commanded, so had they done it. So Moses blessed them. – Exodus 39:42-43

Everything’s brought before the typical mediator for his inspection. All had to pass under the scrutiny of his eye. The typical significance of this  —

 For we [believers will be called to account and] must all appear before the[a]judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be repaid for what has been done in the body, whether good or [b]bad [that is, each will be held responsible for his actions, purposes, goals, motives—the use or misuse of his time, opportunities and abilities]. – 2 Corinthians 5:10

A further thought still in keeping with the matter —

For no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ.  But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,  each one’s work will be clearly shown [for what it is]; for the day [of judgment] will disclose it, because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality and character and worth of each person’s work.  If any person’s work which he has built [on this foundation, that is, any outcome of his effort] remains [and survives this test], he will receive a reward.  But if any person’s work is burned up [by the test], he will suffer the loss [of his reward]; yet he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has barely escaped] through fire. – 1 Corinthians 3:11-15

The first note is to the faith walk of a person and the second reference speaks to a person’s faith revealed by their actions. Only that done for God’s glory, on the ground redemption, and which will stand the test of fire, shall abide and be rewarded. The difference is between quality and measure; that of the Spirit, and that of the flesh.

All faithful service done will be rewarded with spiritual blessing – just as it will be when we meet God face to face.
